Officials reported that a head-on collision occurred between two vehicles in Vista on Friday night, resulting in the hospitalization of at least three individuals.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., the occurrence took place in the vicinity of South Santa Fe Avenue and Smilax Road.
Lt. David Chandroo from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has stated that the accident is suspected to be related to driving under the influence (DUI).
At present, there have been no fatalities reported as per the sheriff’s department. However, the extent of the injuries suffered by the victims has not been disclosed by the authorities.
According to SDSO, the area will be affected for the next 2-3 hours as a SigAlert has been issued.
