Around 7 a.m., authorities were called to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon at a business located on the 29000 block of Central Avenue in Lake Elsinore. Deputies promptly responded to the scene.
According to a witness, a Black man was responsible for stabbing a woman at the location. Fortunately, the authorities have caught the suspect.
The victim received medical assistance, but unfortunately, she was declared dead.
According to a statement, the victim involved in the incident was an employee of Walmart Superstore . However, there is no further information available about either the victim or the suspect, including their identities.
The main headquarters and the Walmart location were both contacted by Newsweek.
In response to the unfortunate incident at our Lake Elsinore store, Walmart headquarters expressed deep sorrow and grief. The company stated that the facility will remain closed while they cooperate with the police in their investigation. Walmart also extended their condolences and support to the family during this difficult time. Furthermore, they assured that they will continue providing support to their associates as needed.
The police are still investigating the matter and have not yet reached a conclusion.
The Walmart Supercenter can be found in a standard suburban shopping plaza situated along the six-lane Central Avenue. This plaza is home to a Cane’s Chicken restaurant, Taco Bell, and an Auto Zone. On the other side of Central Avenue, you’ll find another shopping center that’s quite similar, with a Lowe’s and a plethora of eateries and shops lining the bustling road.
