In Cerritos on Saturday, a homeowner shot and wounded an attempted burglar.
According to investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. at a residence located in the 11000 block of Shasta Circle.
The authorities reached the scene to discover that the suspect had been shot and was in need of medical attention. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics provided treatment to the suspect before rushing him to a nearby hospital. His condition was deemed critical.
