The body of a 60-year-old grandmother, who had been reported missing by her family, was discovered floating in the Dominguez Channel in Carson at the end of last month.
According to the county sheriff’s department, the body showed clear signs of trauma at the time. The medical examiner, however, stated that the cause of death was “deferred” and further tests were required to determine the exact cause.
In early August, the public was asked to assist the Los Angeles Police Department in locating Douglas, who was last seen near Exposition Park on July 23rd, close to 39th Street and Walton Avenue.
She was not just a mother but also a grandmother to nine, according to her family members.
