A brush fire erupts near Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale, triggering a Second Alarm response.
On Monday afternoon, a brush fire erupted near the Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatched crews to the recreation area when the fire broke out around 3:55 p.m., quickly engulfing approximately 5 acres.
The fire quickly grew to approximately 10 acres before firefighters were able to control it. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and there was no danger to any nearby structures.
LA County Fire is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
