A man suspected of being involved in a homicide investigation was apprehended on Wednesday after a tense standoff with authorities in South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department dispatched officers to the 600 block of West 61st Street around 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to officials, a standoff occurred when the U.S. Marshals attempted to serve a warrant and apprehend the homicide suspect, who refused to surrender.
The police have confirmed that the man has been arrested after a three-hour investigation. At this time, no information is available regarding the identity of the man or the details of the ongoing homicide case.
When SkyFOX was above, a person was observed exiting the residence and being apprehended. The individual was then placed inside a LAPD vehicle. It remains uncertain whether this person is the suspect or a potential resident of the house.
The roads that were closed during the standoff have now reopened.
