The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is advising individuals to avoid swimming at over 10 beaches due to the presence of bacteria that exceeded health standards during recent testing.
Several swimming areas in Southern California have been impacted due to water quality issues. These include Mothers Beach in Marina Del Rey, Las Flores Creek at Las Flores State Beach, Walnut Creek at Paradise Cove in Malibu, and Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro.
Warnings have also been issued for multiple locations in Malibu, including the Marie Canyon Storm Drain at Puerco Beach, Ramirez Creek at Paradise Cove, Topanga Canyon Beach, Solstice Creek at Dan Blocker County Beach, and Pena Creek at Las Tunas County Beach. In addition, a warning has been issued at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica
