According to exclusive reports from In Touch, Meadow Walker, the only child of the late Paul Walker, is now one step closer to fully severing her ties with her ex-husband, Louis Thorton-Allan, as a judge has approved the divorce settlement.
According to court documents that In Touch was able to obtain, a California judge last month approved the agreement that Meadow, 25, and Louis submitted.
In the earlier report, it was stated that the former couple informed the court that the case could move forward without any dispute. Meadow’s attorney informed the judge that “the parties have a written agreement that will be submitted to the court, or a stipulation for judgment that will be submitted to the court.”
They came to an agreement that encompassed the distribution of their assets, financial assistance, and legal expenses.
According to the court order, the judge has deemed the agreement to be “fair and reasonable.” As per the order, the marriage will be officially terminated on August 13, 2024.
On October 17, 2021, Meadow and Louis exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony. Interestingly, the bride was escorted down the aisle by none other than Vin Diesel, Paul’s costar in the acclaimed movie series, Fast & Furious.
Meadow filed a petition in February, stating that the date of separation was January 3, 2024. The reason for the split was cited as “irreconcilable differences.”
Meadow has requested the court to terminate her ex-partner’s entitlement to receive spousal support. She emphasized that they had signed a prenuptial agreement before getting married. Her attorney continued, “The premarital agreement that the parties and their respective attorneys executed on October 14, 2021, has already determined the nature of all the assets.”
Louis responded to Meadow’s petition, requesting to be cut off from support, a few weeks later. He made a counter-demand for spousal support from Paul’s daughter, citing the “pre-marital agreement signed” as a legal basis for his claim. Along with this, he also asked Meadow to cover his legal fees for the case.
Meadow had revealed that she had separated from Louis two years after their marriage, a few months before filing for divorce. In a joint statement, the couple stated that they had mutually agreed to separate amicably after enjoying three years of marriage.
In a statement released, it was said, “We hope that everyone can acknowledge and respect our decision for privacy as it was made unanimously. Even though we have decided to part ways, we still have immense love and respect for each other and will continue to provide support.”
Since the divorce, both former partners have maintained a low profile.
In 2013, Meadow tragically lost her father, Paul, in a car crash in Santa Clarita. At the time of his passing, Paul was 40 years old and Meadow was just 15.
In 2023, Meadow made a cameo appearance in the popular movie, Fast X. Prior to the release of the movie, she shared a clip expressing her excitement, stating, “The first Fast and Furious movie was released when I was just one year old! Growing up on set, I had the privilege of watching my father, Vin, Jordana, Michelle, Chris, and many others on the monitors.”
Meadow expressed her gratitude towards her father for introducing her to the fast and furious world. She is thrilled to be part of the same world now, alongside those who have watched her grow up.
