The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the guy who was killed in an accident on the border of Long Beach and Lakewood on Monday. He was 41 years old.
The Long Beach Police Department and the medical examiner report that David Garcia, of Downey, was initially hurt in the collision that happened on June 4 near the intersection of Carson Street and Ostrom Avenue at roughly 6:10 p.m.
As the driver of a 2007 Ford Edge was turning left onto Carson Street, the victim, who was riding a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle, changed lanes and continued west on Carson Street behind another car, according to the police. The rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries in the collision with the Ford.

Police said Garcia passed away on July 9 while still in the hospital.
