Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Organized Retail Crime Task Force have located two custom-made bronze statues that were taken from a Cerritos shop over ten years ago.

On March 18, 2015, the statues were taken from the front of a company located in Cerritos on the 11500 block of South Street. The bespoke artwork pieces are believed to be worth $50,000 in total.

The statues reappeared, according to Sheriff’s Department officials, when someone attempted to sell them back to the original artist.

At a location on the 5500 block of Cortland Street in Lynwood, investigators discovered the materials. According to officials, the statues have been returned to the City of Cerritos.

The officials withheld information regarding the return of the statues to their original owners and whether any arrests had taken place.
