According to the authorities, a shooting that involved gangs took place in the Westlake area of Los Angeles overnight, resulting in four individuals being hit by bullets.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, gunshots were heard in the vicinity of the Ranchos Market, located near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and South Alvarado Street.
According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, two suspects approached and opened fire on all four victims who were standing outside. Multiple rounds were fired in the incident.
According to the spokesperson, three individuals who were shot have been transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Additionally, one of the victims received treatment on-site.
Four men were involved in the incident, with three of them aged between 21 and 59 years old. Unfortunately, the age of the fourth male victim remains unknown.
According to investigators, the victims of the shooting were not homeless, and the incident is believed to be gang-related. The police have announced that they have apprehended both suspects involved in the shooting. Authorities found a white minivan at the scene that had several bullet holes in it.
The motive behind the shooting is uncertain, as it is not clear whether the minivan was specifically targeted or hit randomly.
There were no additional injuries that were reported.
