Jackie expressed her determination, saying, “I will do my part, regardless of whether it makes a difference or not.”
During the previous presidential election, President Donald Trump received a record-breaking number of votes in California, with six million Californians showing their support for him.
Jackie and Mike both expressed their intention to vote for Trump again, citing their financial situation as a significant factor in their decision.
According to their claims, immigration is another contributing factor.
According to Mike, his upbringing involved working in agriculture, where he had the opportunity to work alongside several undocumented workers.
Mike expressed that he has no qualms with people in general, as he believes that they are generally kind and wonderful. However, he does have concerns about the current influx of individuals crossing the border. Mike believes that the sheer number of people coming in makes it difficult to properly integrate them into the system.
According to Jackie, the legal system and crime are also areas of concern.
According to Jackie, the current legal system is highly flawed, as it takes an excessive amount of time to resolve cases. She believes that the system is now more advantageous for criminals than it is for the general public.
Mark Baldassare from The Public Policy Institute of California [PPIC] reveals that in addition to immigration and crime, the economy, specifically the increasing prices, is one of the major concerns that are motivating California Republican voters to go to the polls.
According to Baldassre, the survey director at the PPIC, Republican voters are expressing a strong sense of discontent with the current direction of the state and the country. Over 90% of them believe that both the state and the country are heading in the wrong direction.
Even though more than 80% of Republican voters in California who participated in the PPIC survey indicated their support for Trump, according to Baldassare, some are still undecided.
Kevin McCarty cast his vote for President Obama during his initial term in office, but in the past two elections, he has chosen to support President Trump. When it comes to local politics, McCarty prefers to back Republican officials.
He expressed uncertainty about his choice for president this time around.
While acknowledging President Trump’s successes during his time in office, it’s hard to overlook the areas where he fell short, particularly in his response to the pandemic.
According to McCarty, the recent incident was a prime example of a negative personality trait that the individual in question possesses. He believes that the person’s overwhelming desire for popularity and emotions tend to take over their logical reasoning and sensibility, leading to such situations.
McCarty finds Independent Robert Kennedy to be an attractive option outside the two major parties. However, he remains undecided about his vote and is keen to watch the upcoming presidential debates.
Mike and Jackie expressed their optimism for Republicans to win in tight congressional seats, despite the high probability of the Democratic presidential candidate winning California.
Mike expressed optimism and stated, “If things continue to trend positively, we may gain an additional two or three congresspeople from California.”
These reminders will serve as a crucial element in emphasizing the importance of every individual’s vote.
