A massive drugs and weapons takedown resulted in the arrest of over three dozen individuals.
According to Suffolk District Attorney Raymond Tierney, a total of 39 individuals have been apprehended as a result of extensive investigations into narcotics trafficking.
As part of these investigations between Brooklyn and Montauk, law enforcement officials confiscated a range of illicit substances including fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and crystal meth.
Officials say that during the arrest of a suspect, one of the guns was fired at two police officers.
According to the district attorney, a total of 389 counts are now being faced by over three dozen defendants.
The defendants are facing several charges, including conspiracy to distribute narcotics, attempted murder of two police officers, and operating as a major trafficker.
