Authorities have reported that a man has died from stab wounds in Lancaster early Tuesday morning following an argument between two men.
According to a press statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to a residence located at the 800 block of West Avenue J-1 following reports of a commotion. As they were on their way, the deputies received additional information indicating that the disturbance might be due to a potential arson incident.
When the deputies arrived at the scene, they interviewed a witness who reported that a man had jumped over a fence and escaped into a nearby parking lot. During their search of the parking lot, they discovered a man who had been stabbed and was in need of medical attention.
A Black male was taken to a nearby hospital after an incident and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later on. At this time, no other details regarding his identity have been disclosed.
According to the investigation, two men were engaged in a heated argument outside the residence which eventually turned into a violent altercation. During the scuffle, the victim was stabbed, following which both the men hastily left the scene. Later on, the victim was discovered lying in the parking lot.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there are no further details provided regarding the incident, including any possible description of a suspect.
