In Leonardtown, Maryland, on July 7th, 2024, Deputy Bradley Kirscht was conducting a proactive patrol on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park when he spotted 61-year-old Robert Darnell Willett walking in the vicinity. Upon seeing Willett, Deputy Kirscht immediately recognized him as someone who was wanted on a warrant for CDS: Possession and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
Upon his arrest, Willett was found to have suspected crack cocaine and paraphernalia during a search. Deputy Kirscht confirmed that Willett had an active warrant and was also facing theft charges under a criminal summons.
After being apprehended, the individual was taken to the Detention and Rehabilitation Center situated in Leonardtown. The charges against the suspect were CDS: Possession – Not Cannabis and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia. The individual will stay in custody until the bond hearing.
