Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in an unincorporated area near the Vermont Knolls neighborhood, which resulted in the death of a man.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 11:26 p.m. on Wednesday, directing deputies to the 1300 block of 102nd Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had been injured and unfortunately, he passed away at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has recently identified the deceased individual as Charles Polk, Jr. He was 32 years old at the time of his passing, but his city of residence remains unknown.
