A woman, aged 34, residing in the harbor region of Los Angeles, was arrested and faced four felony charges for allegedly stealing from the elderly clients she cared for, as announced by officials earlier this week.
Detectives from the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department have announced that Isela “Izzy” Ruiz, a Wilmington resident, has been involved in a series of crimes. According to their news release, Ruiz has been forging checks stolen from elderly victims, cashing them, and also stealing jewelry from their homes.
Police said they arrested the 34-year-old after conducting an investigation in the city of Carson on August 18th.
The next day, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed four felony charges against Ruiz as part of the investigation.

Ruiz is currently detained at the Palos Verdes Estates PD jail with a bail amount set at $195,000. Additionally, the L.A. County Probation Department has placed a “probation hold” on the 34-year-old.
