Last year, a shooting in Spring Valley left seven people wounded, including two children, and the authorities are now searching for suspects involved in the incident.
According to a news release from Sgt. Samuel Lizarraga with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, the incident took place at around 8 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2023, in the 9000 block of Ildica Street.
Law enforcement officials reported that five individuals received gunshot wounds and two children sustained burn injuries as a result of the shooting. The victims were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical care.

According to surveillance footage, a silver 2008-2014 Mercedes Benz C-Class sedan was seen leaving the vicinity during the time of the shooting. It is suspected that there might have been more than one perpetrator involved in this incident.
