According to the US Geological Survey, the Lake Elsinore area experienced a magnitude 3.9 earthquake on Thursday morning. The seismic activity was also felt in San Diego County.
According to the USGS, an aftershock measuring 3.0 magnitude was reported approximately one minute after the first earthquake.
Shaking was reported in several areas, including Whittier, Pasadena, Riverside, Menifee, Irvine, La Verne, and even parts of San Diego such as Oceanside and Escondido, according to USGS.
The area has experienced a series of earthquakes recently. On Monday, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake was felt in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. This was followed by a 5.2-magnitude earthquake near Bakersfield on August 6, which was felt across most of Southern California. Now, there has been a third quake in the area.
